Thanks to all who have bought a copy of Williwaw since our release! We’ve been positively overjoyed with the feedback and reception received. As we have sold out of our print copies, they will no longer be available on our website, though the e-book will of course remain on sale.
For those who would prefer a hard-copy version of the anthology, we will be selling our print version online for a limited time, subject to availability. The link can be found in the ‘buy’ section of the website, and is sold via PayPal. Pricing is 4.50 GBP + 1.00 GBP for shipping and handling.
Putting this anthology together has been a wonderful experience. It has given us the privilege of working with talented authors and their fantastic stories. We would like to take this moment to give one final shout-out to our contributors, submitters, and readers, who have made this anthology a project to remember.
Last night Williwaw launched it’s print copy alongside fellow anthology Crooked Holster. Turnout went far beyond our expectations, and we were entertained by readings from three contributors: Callum Heitler, Defne Cizakca, and Anniken Blomberg. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our readers, as well as our other contributors and fans who made it to the launch despite the temperamental Scottish weather. Pictures, as well as recordings of the three readings, can be found on our Facebook page.
Now that the release is official, contributor copies will be mailed out within the week, so look out for those soon!
Williwaw: An Anthology of the Marvellous, is now on sale via Amazon Kindle and Smashwords. Following our launch event on April 28th, a limited run of print copies will also be available on our website.
Editing this anthology has been more than a pleasure, and we hope that you will enjoy it just as much as we do!
Williwaw’s launch party will be taking place on April 28th, at Tennent’s Bar in Glasgow, beginning at 7:30. We’re launching alongside Crooked Holster, an excellent anthology of crime fiction, so expect a night of fun contrasts with readings from both anthologies. We will be providing some drinks to go around, but there will also be other options available at the bar.
The Address of Tennents is:
191 Byres Rd.
For our contributors both inside and outside of the UK, we’ll be shipping copies of the magazine immediately upon release. For our readers, copies of the Anthology will be available after that date.
We hope to see you there!
With all of our content ready and the print edition about to head to the press, all that remains is to finish the e-book copy of Williwaw and lock down details on the Launch party. This information should be finalised in the next few days, so keep a weather eye out for more news!
Though the deadline for submissions has now come and gone, the editors were blown away by the number and quality of the pieces that we received. We would thus like to extend our enormous gratitude to our many submitters: thanks to you, we are more excited than ever to bring Williwaw to the page and to the screen, a process which can now begin in earnest.
The Editorial Team:
With just a few more days until the end of February, now is the time to send us your magical realism! We have been impressed with the number and quality of submissions read so far, but look forward to receiving even more by the passing of the deadline.
To our potential submitters: just as a reminder, our email is firstname.lastname@example.org. We have had issues recently with emails being sent to incorrect addresses. Cheers!
With just a little more than a month to go before the deadline, submissions have been pouring in. We would like to extend our thanks to our submitters, and send out a reminder that we will continue to accept work until March 1st.
